My Favorite Blog Post Influential Portraits; Irving Penn

This is my favorite blog post because i was able to take portraits influenced by Irving Penn. Taking these pictures was not easy it was a challenge and i love challenges but i managed to get the perfect pictures out of this project. Another reason why this is my favorite blog post is because these pictures define beauty since they are so close up.

   Favorite Picture

This is my favorite picture from the semester because it was taken off guard well she was trying to fix her hair. In this photo i managed to catch movement with out the picture being blurry. Another reason why this is my favorite photo is because i was influenced to take this picture by Irving Penn and i believe i did a pretty good job.

Best Picture

This is my best picture  from this semester because it defines Alondras beauty. The color in this photo is perfect an all blends together because of were this photo was taken and how the light was facing her. Another reason why this is my best photo is because Alondra was able too keep a serious face and look directly into the camera with out a struggle.

Three advantages of working in groups 

1. We were able to support each other and discuss with each other how to take better photos

2. We were able to use our group members as models

3. We were able to talk to one another about what our best photo was during the shoot.


Three disadvantages of working in groups 

1. One person ends up having more time with the camera

2. There is only one sim card that has the photos we taken and the photos take long to upload on aperture.

3. We can not always agree on what our project will be about or how we will be posing.

project that interest me
A project that interest me would be close up portrait shooting. This interest me because when you take close up pictures it defines your beauty.

Hecka Free Zone
i believe that Mr.Farley has a hecka free zone because he hates the word hecka. I believe he hates this word because it is not is not a proper word.

1st Semester Final Group Project

This is a picture of Adilene mata i choose this as one of my favorite pictures because she looks flawless. Her skin looks very smooth. Since she is not wearing any make up her beauty stands out more.  In this photo Adilene has a serious face and is looking away. I believe since this picture was taking of guard it had came out better.

In this photo Adilenes brugendy hair stands out. Adilenes hair stands out in this photo because of were the sunlight was coming from. In this photo there was sun and shade both. This is one of my favorite pictures because i have managed to make the lighting in this photo perfect.

This photo of Adilene was taken of guard. I took this picture well Adilene was in the process of flipping her hair. i choose this as one of my favorite pictures because i have managed to capture a picture well she was in the process of moving.

This picture of adilene mata was also taken off guard. Adilene was not ready to take a picture but i had still took it. This is one of my favorite pictures because her face looks flawless and it was taken off guard. My off guard pictures of someone always tend to come out better.

This is a picture of Alondra Alcala. This is one of my favorite pictures because of the color. I believe that the bricks behind her had brought her hair out more. The bricks had gave alondras hair a lion look. Even though her hair was a bit messy and she was trying to fix it the picture had still came out well.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Alondra because she was looking in another direction focused on something else. Even though Alondra was not focused on thge games the picture had still came out very well . I believe that her green scarf also brings out the color to the bricks.

This photo of Alondra is one of my favorite because she was perfectly posed but yet was looking away. Alondra in this photo has a smerk on her face because she is thinking she i cut. I like this photo because Alondra is so confident about her beauty.

This is another one of my favorite photos of Alondra because she is looking straight into the camera with a serious face. This photo defines alondras beauty it gives you the ability to view the beauty of her face.

This is my ver last favotite photo. I choose this as one of my favorite photos because it was takin well Alondra was trying to fic her hair. In this photo her watch stands out and all the color perfectly blend. This is a great photo of Alondra with a serious face.

Influential Portraits; Irving Penn

Irving Penn was born on June 16, 1970 in Plainfield New Jersey and died on October 7, 2009.  Penn was best known for his fashion photography. Originally penn wanted to become a painter but had got a job with Vouge magazine in the 1940s and then focoused on photograhy. He only shot in black and white. He was one of the first photographers to pose a subject against a simple grey or white backdrop. He had also took maby Penn had photographed many famous people.

 

My group has been inspired by irving penn because he had took amazing close up portraits. Penn had insipred us to take only take up close focous portaits.  He insipred us to shoot in black an and white. Eventhough a picture is not in color it can still be powerful and say alot about a person. Penn insipred us to take photos with the subject looking away.  We realized that taking a photo with somone looking away usually comes out better. I believe the pictures had came out better because the person was less nervous and wasn't concerned about blinking. He has also inspired us to have our subject with a serious face. Serious faces make beauty stand out more and allows you too see someones eyes better and facial beauty.

1. I have learned that in portrait photography lighting is very important. I have learned that the lighting were you are talking the picture effects the persons face. You have to be able to find the perfect lighting to get a nice clear picture of there face.

2. I have learned that the pose of the person is very important to portrait photography. The better you pose someone the better the picture will come out. Certain poses will allow you to see more of the face then others.  The perfect pose will give you the perfect picture.

3. I have also learned that having your camera on the correct settings help you take a better photo. If you do not have your photo on the correct settings you may not get a very great photo. You need to always make sure to adjust your settings before taking a potrait picture.

Bryan Farleys Website Critique

         There are several photography websites from all around the world. Some Photographers have there own and others are in a group. I think it is unique for every individual photographer to have ther own website. It is wonderful to be able to see there art and how talented they are. I am currently going too be reviewing my photgraphy teacher Bryan Farleys website. His photography website is very unique and shows the wonderful skills he has.
         This Photographer provides all his information clearley on his webiste. He provides a contact number and also provides a little about himself. Providing information is important in case any one would like to contact you for a photoshoot. It is also important because if you do not provide information no body may ever recognize your work they might think you are a fake. I believe that it is important to be reconized for the work you have done. Photography is very imoprtnant one photograph can say a million words. It is important to show your talent off to the world and to show how you are creative and differnt then other photographers. Bryan farleys does a wonderful job providing us with clear information on his photography website.
     On this photographers website he provides all his photos that he has taken on a gallery. In this gallery he has seperated these photos by groups and made them into albums. I believe that it is wonderful how his pictures are seperated because it gives people the opportinty too see a specific photoshoot he has done. It is very neat to provide your photos in albums and it is also well orginized. I believe that Bryan Farleys website is well orginized and provides all information clearly . His website works great and does not have any glitches. This photogropher provides us with a wonderful website i dont believe it needs any changes.
